Reminder:
Making a payment larger than your minimum amount due does not replace your next scheduled payment. Unless your loan is paid ahead according to its terms, you are still responsible for making your regular monthly payment by the due date.

Please keep in mind that loan payments are applied first to any interest that has accrued, with the remaining amount applied to principal.
